Lay Gewürze GmbH, headquartered in Thuringia, Germany, has been part of the Almi Group since September 15, 2026. The strategic acquisition of the German family-owned company will expand the Group’s existing portfolio of expertise in a targeted manner and sets the foundation for further sustainable growth.

As a result, the Almi Group is consolidating its position in the European and international markets and strengthening the group with an additional production site and an expanded product range.
The new production facility in Thuringia, with its liquid pasteurization plant, unlocks growth potential for the product lines in the marinades, sauces, and convenience foods segments. This ensures greater long-term supply reliability for customers.

The Lay Gewürze brand brings together existing expertise, many years of experience, tradition, and shared values, while also opening up new perspectives for future growth.
The goal is to further expand the core business in the international market, further strengthen the company’s presence in Germany, and make strategic use of the shared expertise within the Almi Group.
